We want every Drape customer to feel that they got real value. If you don't, we want to make it right. This page explains exactly how our refunds work — no fine print, no surprises.
Our promise
14-day money-back guarantee on subscriptions. If you're not in love with Drape within 14 days of your first paid subscription, email us and we'll refund you in full — no questions, no friction.
That's our headline rule. The rest of this page covers edge cases.
1. Subscription refunds (Studio & Couture)
- First-time subscribers: Full refund within 14 days of your first payment, regardless of how many credits you've used.
- Renewal payments: Pro-rata refunds within 7 days of an automatic renewal, provided you have used less than 25% of that period's monthly credits.
- Annual plans: Within 14 days of initial purchase — full refund. After 14 days but within the first 60 days — pro-rata refund minus any used credits, minus a 10% admin fee.
- After 60 days into an annual plan: No refund, but you can cancel auto-renew anytime; access continues until the period ends.
2. Credit pack refunds
Credit packs are one-time purchases that never expire.
- Unused packs: Fully refundable within 30 days of purchase, as long as zero credits from the pack have been spent.
- Partially used packs: Non-refundable once any credit has been consumed. (We mark this clearly at checkout.)
- Bulk purchases (500+ credits): Contact us — we'll work out something fair on a case-by-case basis.
3. Failed generations
If an AI generation fails for technical reasons (e.g., the AI provider can't process your image, the model returns an error, our service has an outage), the credit is automatically not consumed. You won't see it deducted from your balance.
If you spot a successful generation that you find unusable, you can re-generate — many users iterate 2-3 times to get their favorite result. We don't refund individual credits for outputs you don't like, because AI is probabilistic and outcomes naturally vary.
4. API customers (Couture)
If your application has integrated Drape via API for production use, custom refund terms may apply per your enterprise agreement. Please reach out to your account manager.
5. How to request a refund
It takes one email:
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with:
- What you'd like refunded (subscription, pack, etc.)
- The approximate purchase date
- A one-line reason (optional but helps us improve)
No forms, no phone calls, no "please hold while we transfer you."
6. Processing time
- Refund approved within 2 business days of your email.
- Funds typically arrive in your account within 5–10 business days via Stripe — depending on your card issuer.
- For wire / ACH refunds (large enterprise customers), allow up to 15 business days.
7. Exceptions
We may decline a refund in the following cases:
- Accounts found to have violated our Acceptable Use policy (e.g., generating non-consensual imagery, deepfakes, NCII).
- Clear abuse of our refund policy — e.g., repeatedly buying and refunding to extract free credits.
- Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us (see §8).
8. Chargebacks
Please email us first. A chargeback before a refund request is unnecessary — we will issue refunds quickly and without friction when our policy applies. If you file a chargeback without contacting us first, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution with the card issuer.
